Music is an important part of worship at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. We strive to feel God’s presence in each service and worship Him “in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in [our] heart[s] to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:19).
Each service is unique, with a blend of favorite hymns and contemporary worship songs. Every person has the opportunity to participate in our exciting worship services and praise God in his or her own heartfelt way. We believe in worshiping like the Bible exhorts: “Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord” (Psalm 150).
In addition to leading the church in dynamic, sincere worship, the LPC Choir and Music Ministry is involved in the Wausau Area community, performing in the annual Faith In Action Care-o-ling benefit, singing at the Wausau Center Mall, and caroling at local hospitals and nursing homes.
The Music Ministry at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church is under the direction of Anna Julson. She has been in the Wausau area since 2006, and began directing the choir and music soon after arriving in North Central Wisconsin.
